Pajocīgie vidusmēra amerikāņi — ne visi, protams, — sen jau aizmirsuši… vai nekad īsti nav zinājuši, ko ar svirām un vinčām var izdarīt. TV materiālos gana daudz detaļu var pamanīt, ieskaitot arī Discovery Channell filmējumus.

Kad LV guļbūvnieki bez autoceltņa — ar svirām un trīšiem — būvēja pirmās guļbūves Zviedrijā un Somijā, 90.-to sākumā un vidū, arī vidusmēra somi un zviedri neko nesaprata.
